Delete your account

What happens when you delete your account, what has to be finished first, and what happens to your plan.

Open Account › Your data › Delete your account.

What has to be finished first

You can delete your account once nothing is still open. The page lists what's in the way, for example:

  • an order that isn't finished;
  • a payment request that's still open;
  • a dispute;
  • a payment that hasn't been refunded on a request that's still open (as a buyer or a seller).

Finish or cancel each one first. See I can't delete my account.

What happens

  • Your account is deleted 14 days after you ask. Until then everything works as usual, and you can choose Keep my account to cancel.
  • Your open requests are closed (withdrawn where you were the buyer, declined where you were the seller), and the other side is told.
  • Your name, email, phone, messages, request answers and uploads are removed. Your seller page and its listings come down.
  • Orders and payments are kept for 7 years for tax and dispute records, without your name or contact details. Reviews you wrote stay, shown as from a "Former buyer".

Your plan

A subscription is cancelled as soon as your account is deleted, and the rest of the period you've paid for isn't refunded. A lifetime purchase is given up and not refunded. To keep what you've paid for, use it until it ends and delete your account then.

Your Stripe account

Your Stripe account is yours and stays open: close it in your Stripe Dashboard if you no longer need it.
