Your data and privacy

What buyers see about you, what PerfectPal keeps, campaign codes, and downloading your data.

The full details are in the privacy policy. Here's what sellers ask about most.

What buyers see

  • Your seller page: your name, photos, about section, what you raise, your city and province or state, never your street address. Your exact address is shared only when a visit or pickup is arranged.
  • Your trust label, badges, rating and response rate.
  • Never your phone number, your ID documents or your verification documents.

What stays private

  • Buyers' answers and order details are seen only by the buyer, you (and team members with the right area) and PerfectPal staff.
  • Your records, notes, reminders and enclosures are yours alone (and your team's).
  • Verification documents are private and seen only by staff; ID documents are deleted after review.

Campaign codes

If you reached the "Sell on PerfectPal" page through one of PerfectPal's campaign links (for example a QR code on a business card), the link's short code is kept with your account and your seller page, so PerfectPal can tell which promotions bring sellers. A cookie remembers it on that browser for a limited time. Visits are counted per day without being linked to you. See What is the code in my sign-up link?.

Download your data

Account › Your data › Download my data gives you one file with your profile, requests, orders, messages, reviews, saved items and uploads, and copies of emails staff wrote to you.

How long things are kept

The privacy policy lists how long each kind of information is kept. Orders and payments are kept for tax and dispute records, without your name or contact details once your account is deleted.
