Guide
Two-step sign-in
Protect your account with a code from an authenticator app, and keep backup codes.
With two-step sign-in on, someone who learns your password still can't sign in without the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. If you take card payments or pay for a plan, your dashboard reminds you to turn it on.
Turn it on
- Install an authenticator app on your phone (for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy).
- Open Account › Sign-in and security and choose Turn on two-step sign-in.
- Enter your password.
- Scan the code with your app (or choose Open in your authenticator app on your phone).
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows for PerfectPal and choose Confirm and turn on.
- Save your backup codes somewhere safe, then choose I've saved my codes. Each code works once, if you can't use your app. They won't be shown again.
Signing in
After your password, enter the code from your app. Lost your phone? Choose Use a backup code instead.
If a code doesn't work
Check that the time on your phone is set automatically: codes depend on the clock.
Lost your phone and your backup codes?
Contact support from the email address on your account. Staff will check it's you before helping you back in.
You can Make new backup codes any time, which replaces the old ones.
