Payments outside PerfectPal
Record cash or e-transfer payments, and show buyers the other ways you accept payment.
You don't have to take every payment by card through PerfectPal.
Recording a payment
On a payment request, choose Record as paid outside PerfectPal, then Yes, the buyer paid me directly. The buyer is asked to confirm it ("Yes, I paid this"), and the request shows Confirmed by the buyer once they do.
- Recorded payments carry no PerfectPal fee.
- They count toward the price like card payments.
- A completed request with a confirmed payment (or the buyer's confirmation that they got their animal) counts as a completed sale for your trust level.
- Refunds of recorded money are arranged between you and the buyer.
Other ways you accept payment
Money › Payments › Other ways you accept payment lets you tick the methods you accept (for example Interac e-Transfer in Canada, or Zelle in the US: only methods used in your country are listed), with an optional note. Buyers see them on your page and listings, beside card payments through PerfectPal.
Don't put account numbers in the note. Buyers are told that card payments through PerfectPal are card-protected, and that other ways are arranged with you directly.
