PerfectPal's fees
How PerfectPal's fees on card payments work, who pays them, and where to see the current amounts.
Where to see the current fees
The fees are set by PerfectPal and can change, so this article doesn't list them. The current ones are always on Sell on PerfectPal under What it costs, and on Plans and pricing. A fee of zero is common.
How they work
- Fees apply to card payments through PerfectPal: deposits, balances, full payments and buy-now orders.
- Payments you record yourself (cash, e-transfer and so on) carry no PerfectPal fee.
- A fee can have two parts: one taken from your payout, and one the buyer pays on top of your price.
- Any buyer fee is always shown in the total before the buyer pays. No surprises at checkout.
- Your plan may waive some or all of a fee.
- Rescue listings carry no PerfectPal fee.
- Stripe charges its own card processing fee, in your Stripe account.
Paying the buyer's part yourself
Money › Payments › PerfectPal's buyer fee has Pay any buyer fee myself. With it ticked, buyers pay only your price, and the buyer fee comes out of your payout.
Seeing what you paid
Each payment shows its fee and who paid it. Money › Statements totals your fees and the buyers' fees by month or year. See Statements, income and expenses.
A fee, once charged, is recorded with the payment, so later changes to fees never change your history.
