Not listed

Dwarf angelfish and tangs are some of the most popular reef fish. They need large, established tanks, plenty of algae in their diet and careful quarantine.

Space

Tangs swim constantly and need long tanks, ideally 400 litres or more. Dwarf angels need rockwork to graze and hide in.

Diet

Feed seaweed sheets and algae-based foods every day, plus meaty frozen foods.

Health and reef safety

Tangs are prone to marine ich; quarantine them carefully. Dwarf angels may nip some corals and clams. Aquacultured flame angels and yellow tangs are now available; ask the seller.
