What PerfectPal is

PerfectPal is a marketplace and set of tools that helps people who raise animals find buyers, and helps buyers find them. PerfectPal is not the seller of any animal. Each sale is an agreement between the buyer and the seller.

PerfectPal is open to Canada and the United States. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. Give accurate information, including when you verify your phone number, identity or a badge.

Selling

Anyone may sell on PerfectPal, subject to the Seller policy. Sellers are responsible for their listings, for the health and welfare of their animals, and for following the laws where they and their buyers live, including permits, minimum ages and transport rules.

Trust levels and badges describe what PerfectPal has checked. They are not an endorsement or a promise about any animal or sale.

Buying

Read listings, answers and refund terms carefully, ask questions in your PerfectPal conversation, and meet the animal before paying in full where you can. Never pay with gift cards, cryptocurrency or wire transfers.

Payments

Card payments on PerfectPal are processed by Stripe and paid directly into the seller's own Stripe account. The seller is the merchant for the sale and handles refunds and card disputes under the refund terms the buyer accepted. PerfectPal does not hold money for sales.

PerfectPal may charge a platform fee. Any fee paid by the buyer is shown in the total before payment.

Reviews and reports

Reviews must follow the Review policy. Reports go to PerfectPal staff, who decide what action, if any, to take.

When we may act

We may remove content, limit an account's visibility or features, or close an account that breaks these terms or our policies, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Limits on our responsibility

PerfectPal provides the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, PerfectPal isn't responsible for the animals, conduct or promises of buyers and sellers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
