Jenday conures are bright, affectionate and very social conures that want to be with their people.
Personality and noise
Jendays are loud: their contact call carries a long way, so they're not a good choice for close neighbours. Daily attention and toys help keep calling down.
With good care many live 20 to 30 years, so plan for who will care for your bird if your life changes.
Housing
A cage at least 60 cm wide with 1.3 to 1.9 cm bar spacing, a sleeping tent or hut if your bird likes one, and several hours out of the cage every day.
Diet
A quality pellet as the base, fresh vegetables every day, and fruit and seeds as treats.
