Bare-eyed cockatoos (little corellas) are playful, clever and often good talkers, and they're as loud and demanding as other cockatoos.

A lifelong commitment

With good care many live 40 to 60 years, so plan for who will care for your bird if your life changes.

Cockatoos need many hours of attention every day and scream when bored or alone. Meet adult birds before you decide.

Housing

A strong cage at least 90 cm wide with 2 to 2.5 cm bar spacing, a play stand, and endless things to chew and destroy.

Diet

A quality pellet with vegetables and some fruit; cockatoos gain weight on seed. Their powder down makes some people sneeze, so think about allergies.
